George Washington Academy, a K- 6 school in Snowflake has partnered with the Campaign for Cursive to induct students in grade 2-6 in the 2018 John Hancock Cursive Club. Cursive is taught starting in second grade and the recipients had to complete a packet and final essay in order to be inducted in the club. GWA partnered with the Optimist Club of the White Mountains to provide feather pens for the inductees. Inductees include: Cressa Bateman, Emma Beatty, Rebecca Ballard, Sophia Mancini, Madison De La Cruz, Gwen Holland, Anika Bateman, Ariel Donnelly, Ady Young, Moriah Stradling, Braelynn Peterson, Ava Smith, Hallie Pettit, England Palmer, Mairead Greenwood, Elizabeth Holland, Daigon Millett, Mannix Czech, Ben Penrod, Anthony McKey, Kyson Kulish, Danny Lyman, Shiloh Miles, Moira Stradling, and Andie Hunt. Not pictured: Abbie Burt. All students were inducted by Beth Kulish, Principal of George Washington Academy.
